Halloween ActivitiesHalloween is one of the most exciting holidays for children, not least because of the dressing up and sweeties. However, when it comes to arranging activities for the day, many parents can be stuck for ideas. This article presents a list of activities which are sure to make Halloween memorable for youngsters.

Trick Or Treat
This is probably one of the most traditional Halloween activities which involves children in Halloween fancy dress costumes knocking on the doors of strangers and asking for sweeties. It is best to accompany young children to make sure that they are safe and don’t get up to any mischief.

Apple Bobbing
Placing apples in a tub of water and trying to pick them out with just your mouth is another traditional Halloween activity. Most kids prefer this activity using toffee apples.

Horror Films
Watching a horror film in a dimly-lit room is another fun Halloween activity. Bare in mind the maturity of your child when choosing which film to watch. Really young children can be traumatised by gruesome horror films so for them Scooby Doo might be a better option.

Scary Stories
Rather than watch films, some families opt to create their own spooky stories to scare those around them. This is traditionally done sitting in a circle in a pitch black room with the storyteller shining a torch in their face.

Pumpkin Carving
Kids who love arts and crafts will find it a real delight carving a spooky face out of pumpkins. By placing a candle inside the pumpkin, you can create a lightshade to scare your neighbours and passers by.

Arts and Crafts
As well as pumpkin craving, other arts and crafts associated with the holiday include making paper ghosts or pasta skeletons.
Most of these activities are only performed once a year and as such will create a unique and memorable evening for your child.
